Four years ago, Danish cartoonist Kurt Westergaard triggered a bitter clash of cultures with a cartoon depicting the Prophet Muhammad. On New Year's Day, a young Muslim from Somalia tried to kill him with a knife and an axe.
The publication of the cartoons in the Jyllands-Posten newspaper in September 2005 caused uproar in the Muslim world. The protests claimed 150 lives.
