Spring Breeze by Hubert Haddad, translated by Louise Rogers Lalaurie

Hubert Haddad was born in Tunis in 1947, and published his first collection of poems, Le Charnier déductif, in 1967. His first novel, Un rêve de glace, was published by Albin Michel in 1974, since when he has published numerous novels, short stories, plays and collections of poetry. His novel L'Univers was published in a revised and updated version by Zulma in 2009
Louise Rogers Lalaurie studied English, literary translation and art history at Cambridge, and worked as an editor and journalist in London before moving to France. Her published translations include short stories by Marie Darrieussecq, Delphine de Vigan and Catherine Millet, and a novel by Jean Rolin, The Explosion of the Radiator Hose (Dalkey Archive Press, April 2011), winner of a French Voices award in 2009.
