British Squatters Rejuvenate an Abandoned Site Near Heathrow Airport

The British government has promised to tighten anti-squatting laws to make it easier for property owners to evict uninvited tenants. 

Keithy Robin, left, an artist and builder who volunteers at the Advisory Service for Squatters, said that criminalizing squatting could allow unscrupulous landlords to evict vulnerable tenants — those without written rental agreements, for instance — by inaccurately claiming that they were in fact squatters.
