Berfrois

Elegy for My Broken Vibrator

Print

by Hannah Cohen

What else is this dumb. Or alive.
I unstitch the thunder
from my legs. Freedom is the worst
punchline. Waiting for what won’t arrive,
arrive. My body the impossible
piano. I turn
unkeyed. Forget my name has the right
origin for the wrong person. I burn
a burden of tigers inside me, wanting
the end and the end
of wanting. I crown myself cold
discotheque, yours.
