by Aalooran Rahman Bora

just a smudged blackboard
in an old classroom;

We spend our lives
trying to clean it,
to write our lines;

or toiling to write
our lines clean enough
to be read, to be understood;

Neither cleaned enough,
neither written enough,
before we are wiped off.
